EICMA 2018: MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro showcased
What you see in the images below is the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro. Yes, it is one of the most aggressive looking motorcycles showcased at the EICMA 2018 show. With the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro, the Italian motorcycle brand will be entering an all-new segment for this one is a 1,000cc machine. Powering the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is a 208PS making 1,000cc engine that puts out 115.5Nm of torque. And if that is not enough, one can also opt for the SC-Project titanium exhaust equipped mod that increased the power output to 212PS at 13,600rpm. The four-cylinder layout of the engine has been taken from the previous offerings along with leaving the valve positioning unchanged. However, the MV Agusta team claims to have worked on the original design to make it sportier than before.
The camshaft timing has been tweaked while the titanium radial valves make use of new sintered valve guides that have been positioned in the CNC machined combustion chamber. In order to improve the performance and the efficiency, the piston gets low friction Asso compression rings. The crankshaft has been redesigned and has been a counter balancer to bring down the vibrations and losses due to the same at higher engine speeds. The lubrication route has been changed between the primary drive and transmission. The gearbox too has been worked upon to reduce the losses and noise.
Further, the airbox has been redesigned. The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro makes use of special resonators that has allowed MV engineers to do away with TSS system (variable height ducts). This has made the engine lighter by 1kg without compromising the performance and the power delivery. The naked offering from MV Agusta gets a double injector system which have been positioned near the throttle body and the above the intake duct. The helps precise fuel injection which in turn results in better performance and reduced emissions. The interesting looking exhaust pipes are claimed to be the best for this 1,000cc unit. This one comes with electronic exhaust valve which helps keep the regulations in check and also offer better torque.
The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro comes with a new ECU that has been designed in collaboration with Eldor. The electronics package includes full multimap Ride-by-Wire system that is regulated by an IMU. Further, the Brutale 1000 gets 8-level traction control, anti-wheelie system, launch control and EAS 2.0 Up and Down electronic gearbox systems.
In terms of design, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Orogets all-LED headlights paired with cornering lights and DRLs. It gets a 5-inch colour TFT screen with smartphone connectivity that offers managing incoming calls, text and music. The naked motorcycle rides on carbon-fibre rims that have finished in special red shade. The use of carbon fibre has reduced the unsprung mass and intertia to maximum. It has also been used in the overall structure of the motorcycle including the tail piece. All of that paired with the CNC machined components have helped MV achieve a kerb weight of 184kg.

MV Agusta could be considered the two-wheeled version of Lamborghini: dreamy, with a financially troubled past, and oh-so-Italian. Under the guidance of second generation company president Giovanni Castiglioni, the manufacturer housed on the banks of Lake Como in Varese—60 miles north of Milan—has gone through a transformation of late thanks to an influx of Russian millions.
As such, they are reorganizing their business model to focus on the very highest end of modern motorcycling. This includes various limited production models, including the stunning MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro unveiled to the public at the EICMA Show in Milan on November 4.
Limited to 300 units worldwide, the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is powered by a 998 cc inline four-cylinder motor that borrows heavily from the company’s World Superbike Championship F4 RC racer.

According to MV Agusta, the bike has a top speed of over 180 mph and an incredible 208 hp at 13,450 rpm. The latter increases to 212 hp at 13,600 rpm when the machine is fitted with the SC-Project titanium racing exhaust.
Those horsepower numbers guarantee the model the title of world’s most powerful production naked bike, and also put it near the top of the best superbike numbers currently being produced from competition rivals Ducati and Kawasaki.
MV Agusta has adorned the new Brutale with stunning black, electronically adjustable Öhlins forks and a racing-specific Öhlins TTX36 rear shock absorber, and Brembo Stylema brakes. It also features nearly every electronic aid imaginable with an Inertial Measurement Unit—which governs traction, wheelie, launch, and engine brake control—ABS, and an up/down quick-shift gear change.

As for the main structure, the motorcycle utilizes a steel trellis frame connected to gold aluminum sideplates, a gold painted swingarm, and ultra-light carbon-fiber wheel rims—the exotic material also extending to the rear bodywork.
Castiglioni has an enormous responsibility on his shoulders as he attempts to steady the MV Agusta ship over what has been decades of troubled waters. However, if machines like this Brutale 1000 Serie Oro are what’s in store for the future, we could once again be witnessing the Renaissance of one of Italy’s most revered motorcycle brands. Availability and pricing for the United States have yet to be announced.

The ultimate evolution of the Brutale borrows from the F4 RC superbike to make the fastest naked from the Varese factory
THE BRUTALE 1000 SERIE ORO is the fastest most powerful naked bike to roll out of the factory and it uses F4 RC and World Superbike technology and design.
Based around the F4 RC’s 998cc, four-cylinder engine, the new Brutale Serie Oro includes top-spec Brembo brakes, Ohlins forks, carbon fibre wheels and 200+ bhp.
MV Agusta’s Serie Oro (gold series) bikes have been around for some time and are used to highlight to the world the best machines the small factory from northern Italy can dream up.
For 2019, MV’s design team have gone all out by announcing this bonkers naked machine that has more technology, more trick parts and more power than some 1000cc superbikes.
With four-cylinders and 998cc, the Serie Oro produces 208hp at 13,450rpm and 115Nm of torque – when using the race kit – making it the most powerful bike in the class. In fact, if you compared it to bikes like the MT10SP and monster 1200 R, neither of which can be considered as slow, it has almost 50bhp more power.
Helping riders to tame the superbike-levels of power, MV have carried over the electronics package from the F4 RC which includes: Eight level traction control, an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), ride by wire throttle, anti-wheelie, launch control and an up and down quickshifter.
To build an engine that can produce such numbers, MV’s engineers have used tech which is taken from the MV World Superbike machine, including: Titanium valves that slide through sintered valve guides, a re-designed combustion chamber and airbox, revamped cam-timing and profiles, low-friction Asso piston rings and a stunning looking, SC Racing exhaust system.
MV claim the bike will handle as well as a superbike does, and when you look at the components you’d have to think they’re right. Brembo Stylema calipers and 320mm discs, Ohlins electronically adjusted forks, an Ohlins TTX36 rear shock and a steering damper – all of which are governed by the bikes ECU and IMU. These aren’t the sort of things you normally see on the spec sheet for a naked – and we haven’t even got to the wings yet…
Yep, the Serie Oro gives you wings! Well winglets anyway, located on either side of the radiator they were developed in the wind-tunnel and echo those seen on MotoGP bikes of recent years. MV claim they give the bike improved high-speed stability above 200kph (125mph) and that they increase the load on the front wheel in the same way that a race bike’s winglets do. We’re not too bothered about all that science stuff, we just think they look awesome and cannot wait to see the bike in the flesh!

The styling of the bike is typical MV Agusta, it’s just they’ve turned it up to eleven with carbon fibre everywhere, billet machined foot-rests, a single-sided swingarm and café racer style clip-on handlebars.
